Cauliflower & Broccoli Pizza

Pizza is my soul. Truly. I died once and a pizza floated above my body. I was resuscitated. When that happened I saw the pizza dash into my mouth. I awoke chewing nothing and was disappointed.

The above picture is of something new I tried this evening. I have made it with only cauliflower before. But unfortunately (or fortunately ) I didn't have the fresh cauliflower I thought I did.

So i used frozen cauliflower and frozen broccoli. I have only ever used fresh for this.

The pizza to me, was more visually appealing due to the splash of green the broccoli provided.

The pizza came out tasting pretty awesome, though, it is not "real" pizza, nor will it ever be.

I could only finish 3/4 of the plate filling pizza. I wish I could have shoved more down my pie hole, but I didn't want to over stuff.

This is a pretty time consuming task, but well worth it!! I really like this better than the chicken crust pizza floating around the internet. More pizza like, less chicken patty like.

Ingredients for Crust:

1 egg white

Frozen or fresh broccoli ( I used 81 g once it was shredded and drained of water)

Frozen or fresh cauliflower ( I used 75 g once it was shredded and drained of water)

4 tbsp Parmesan cheese

1/2 cup Shredded mozzarella

Italian seasoning

salt &pepper to liking

My Toppings (you can do this how ever you like):

1/4 cup Marinara sauce

3/4 cup Shredded Mozzarella

A full green onion

7 slices of pepperoni

Macros: Crust and toppings whole pizza (for my numbers and brands)

Recipe:

  1. Place frozen broccoli into Microwave safe bowl and heat for about 2:30

  2. Take broccoli and place in food processor (shredding blade) or ricer.

  3. Place shredded or riced broccoli onto cheese cloth or a clean towel.

  4. squeeze all the water out. You want this as dry as possible for a dry crust.

  5. Weigh it and record your veggie weight.

  6. Do this same as above with the cauliflower. PREHEAT oven to 400°

It should look something like this. ( not nugs I swear)

Disregard the left over broccoli from the cheese cloth.

7. Place the broccoli, cauliflower, Parmesan cheese, 1/2 cup shredded cheddar, egg white, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper into a large bowl.

8. Mix that stuff up with a fork, then spread on a greased parchment paper on top of a pizza sheet. Shape and flatten into a pizza crust.

DO NOT USE ALUMINUM FOIL! I did once. terrible idea.

9. Place into a 400° preheated oven. Cook for about 15 minutes until it starts turning brown like below.

10. Flip after 15 minutes. Cook for another 10 minutes.

11. Add toppings of your choice. Cook for about 15 more minutes or until cheese has browned.

These marinara sauces are low carb, tasty, and CHEAP at PriceRite

12. Remove from oven and MOW!
