Stuff That Helps The Keto Lifestyle

We all probably have a ton of crap in our home that we bought at one point to help us in life.

Shake weight anyone?

Shakeweight

Below is a list of "stuff" that we have found make going keto much more easy! I will add new things to this list if I use them!

I am in NO way paid by these products. I mean, if they want to give me money that's awesome, but they haven't.

A digital food scale

This is not the scale I own. I purchased mine at the Christmas tree shoppe for about $10. it makes tracking your food SO MUCH easier. Totally worth picking up. A spring scale works too, but I am lazy and don't like to do more math than needed.

The Veggetti Pro

This thing is so bad-ass, I bought two for secret Santa gifts this year! Since noodles are a no-no, zucchini and squash make an excellent substitute. I really like it. I picked it up at Walmart for $10.

Salad Spinner

This thing is great for washing salad and getting water out of the above mentioned zucchini noodles. I have a super cheap one from Walmart. Maybe $5?

Glass Tupperwear

If you cook like me, you always make extra for the week. Glass Tupperware is great for leftovers. Throw it in the microwave, put your lunch in it, wear it as a hat? You wont catch me buying plastic again. Totally worth the price. (Heated plastic is wicked bad for your health by the way)

Food Processor

I have never bought a food processor. The two that I had owned were gifts from my mother. The first was a Norelco food processor from like 1977. The thing weight about 15lbs and chopped food like a samurai. Unfortunately, while shredding a block of cheese the blade broke. ( I cried)

My mother was also sad, so she bought us a new one. It weighs nothing in comparison and shreds pretty well. I haven't used the Hamilton beach one enough to love it as much as the old brick.

Nutribullet

This was also given to me as a gift. We use this EVERYDAY to make our Bullet Proof Coffee and protein shakes. There are cheaper versions of this that I assume would work just as well.

A single cup coffee maker

I hate that I love this thing. It was a gift from my brother. I'm super pumped that we use it multiple times a day, and that it provided constant fresh hot coffee. There is just so much plastic wasted. It is just SO convenient. We do have the reusable cups, which are awesome, but I really like the premium dark roast from Rio Grande Coffee that I pick up at Ocean State Job lot.

Steamers

Cook veggies. Eat Veggies. Love veggies. My wife likes steamed veggies and these chucks of metal help a lot. I personally just use the radiation box (microwave)

MANY Tablespoons/measuring spoons

Have a lot of these. We have three sets and we use them all everyday. I want more. But that is because I am lazy.

I suggest metal or thick plastic. Scooping out coconut oil in the winter tends to get weird with the light plastic ones.

My Fitness Pal

We both bought the premium version of this app with Christmas money. We share our meals with each other, we track what we eat daily, and it really helps us keep track of our macros. I really like that Fitbit also syncs up with it.

A Body Weight Scale

We weigh ourselves every Saturday morning. This helps us keep on track throughout the week. MFP allows us to add our weights in and gives us a sweet graph.

I suggest a digital body scale. Some of these can be a bit off, so test them with a weight or something. This is NOT the one we have. I think we picked ours up at Target a few years back.

What do you think helps out? Let me know in the comment section!
